CDO March 16-18

Really excited about our upcoming trip to CDO... My officemate booked us in this place called Lauremar Beach Resort. I tried searching all over the web for images but only found one... It was even from a college student's blog...

"Nice modern rooms in a three story block around the free-form swimming pool. All rooms have a view of the Ocean.
Good beds, in-suite bathrooms TV etc., and very clean.
Located right on a wide, sandy beach, the tide comes almost into the resort.
The pool is wonderful with sloping edges, a waterfall and lots of shady places to sit. Separate pool for kiddies. All very safe."

80's Revival Night

I love Chinese weddings... It definitely won't be adorned with the usual all-white drapes... Plus there will always be great overflowing Chinese food.




Most of all I love the entertainment... Especially on this night where the brightest stars of yesteryears shone brightly...

It was different watching Jojo A live compared to TV. On TV, he has the laugh machine on his side. It's not as funny when you laugh at your own jokes... But I did like one married couple joke he cracked...

Gino Padilla showed no signs of rust when he belted out his hits from the 80's, reminding us that he is the only Filipino to have had a hit collab with Tina Turner.

The highlight of the night was China's very own Jose Mari Chan... the equivalent of James Brown to the Black community. It seemed like he was talking more than he was singing, but it didn't matter... The crowd made up mostly of Filipino-Chinese loved him!

Congratulations Anson and Aubrey! We loved the entertainment. :)

HK in January

Haven't had any updates in over a week... Got back from HK and had so much work left undone back home that I had to log in extra hours at work.

What's new in HK? Didn't realize adidas bought out the old HMV building... that's right, the iconic, 4-storey record store in tsim shat sui. I was surprised that something like this could happen... I knew TMAC came over to HK to open a new store of ours over there. Didn't know we took over HMV... Some pics inside the store...

It was my first time to come down here in january and i didn't realize how big of a sale month it was for them. I mean it was insane... all stores were on sale! People keep talking about July or August being the big sale months, but nothing compares to January where they let go all of their Winter stocks...




More new things in HK... The train that I rode from the airport to the city came equipped with speakers inside the headrests. Whoah...
